If you're visiting the city pre-Christmas, you'll find an amazing array of top shops and enticing Christmas displays in Edinburgh city centre. Edinburgh's Christmas features a Winter Wonderland including a skating rink, a delightful German market and a host of special events and live music just to add to the Christmas carnival atmosphere. 

Edinburgh is home to some of Scotland finest art galleries and museums. Cultural delights over the winter period include Space Age at the City Art Centre, a superb exhibition of watercolours by Turner at the National Gallery of Scotland, a collection of Renaissance Baroque masterpieces at the Palace of Holyrood House, and a celebration of fashion designer Jean Muir at the National Museum of Scotland.
