Lesley McKennaFriday nightWe go somewhere chilled like Café 1 to sit and organise the following day's snowboarding.
Saturday morningI phone the guys and meet up at the bottom of the mountain about 9.30 am - then hit the slopes for a day of snowboarding. We usually fuel up at Ptarmigan restaurant which is on the mountain. Then it's back to the slopes. We come down at teatime and go to Café Mambo in Aviemore for a few post-slopes drinks. In the summer, you're spoilt for choice. I might go clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking or quad biking - all are great fun. There's a great bike shop in Aviemore where you can hire bikes.
Saturday eveningClubbing in Inverness means Blue. It's the newest club, and it gets lots of big name DJs.
Sunday MorningLater we might walk or cycle through Glenmore Forest. If we fancied something a bit more energetic, we might do some water sports at Loch Inch near Kincraig. Then we'd rest at their lochside restaurant and tuck into a great bar lunch.
Sunday afternoon and eveningWe head back to Café Mambo (again) for a couple of Sunday evening drinks. If we're feeling cultured we might finish off the weekend by seeing a performance at Eden Court Theatre. |
